Richard Lloyd Bigham, 89, of Macon, MO, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016, at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.
Lloyd was born on September 11, 1926, in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Elihu and Ivan (Bradley) Bigham. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Burch on June 25, 1949 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon, MO. Lloyd had moved to Macon on September 14, 1947 to work at the coal mine. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the United Mine Workers Association Local 7688. Lloyd enjoyed bowling, keeping a perfectly manicured yard, and drinking coffee with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Bigham; one daughter, Donna Hicks and her husband Gary of Kirksville, MO, one son, Scott Bigham and his wife Jocelyn of Macon, MO; three grandchildren, Tara Stamburski, David Jones and his wife Nicole, and Paul Jones; five step-grandchildren; Rick Norman, David Norman, Phil Norman, Kerri Baker, and Garret Hicks, one great grandson, Cole Stamburski, one sister, Sue Hawkins and her husband Doug of Pinckneyville, IL; one niece, Linda Maddy Robinson; two nephews, Kirk Hawkins and Klint Hawkins; and in-laws.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Erma Maddy, and one niece, Marlene Norton Johnson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Church in Macon. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery in Bevier. Visitation will be Thursday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Macon. Family suggests memorials to the Immaculate Conception Church or St. Charles Cemetery.
