Retraction

The Home Press would like to apologize and retract the story regarding the Macon County Commission. Our mistakes included not fact-checking the information given to us by the Moberly Monitor Index and assuming they did proper research.

People ask why we do not cover controversial subjects and this is why. Our vow has always focus on the good news and correct news in the county and will continue to do so. We do not wish to be the cause of "fake news", and do not wish harm against anyone working or residing in the County.

Once again, our sincere apologies to everyone involved.
