MACON, Mo. (July 1, 2024) – POET Bioprocessing – Macon awarded $8,000 in grants to four local causes. The funds were donated through POET’s 2024 Community Impact Grant Program, which awards grants to a variety of causes throughout the more than 30 communities in which the company operates.

Camp Tolton received a $2,300 grant to help offset the cost of material and labor for a pavilion on the campsite.

The Living Hope Mission Center received $1,100 to repair damage from an electrical fire and provide an additional meeting place in the community. The Center provides community support and a warm meal to those in need.

Faith Bridge was awarded $2,300 for The Fountain Gate. The initiative is a place for older foster youth and young adults who have aged out of the foster care system to gather, learn new skills, and receive mentoring, temporary housing, and support to earn their GED and apply for jobs.

The Macon Senior Center received $2,300 to provide meals to the elderly, homebound, and those who cannot afford meals. The Meals on Wheels program delivers over 2,000 meals per month.

“We’re excited to support these organizations that are working to leave a positive impact on our community,” said Scott Tuttle, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Macon. “We’re proud to call the Macon area home, and the grant program is one of many ways we hope to leave a legacy here.”

Through POET’s annual Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations are invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. The next grant cycle will open in the spring of 2025. For more information, visit poet.com/grants.
