$5,000 AWARDED TO SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS BY HORIZON CREDIT UNION

– 10 students awarded $500 each - Multiple area school districts and universities are being represented among this year’s scholarship recipients. Each student received a $500 scholarship to use towards their college expenses. The ten scholarship winners for 2023 are pictured as follows: front row: Kay Lucas HCU, Brooklyn Anderson, Tyra Harris, Makaila Teter, Chloe Slover, Dennis Fessler HCU; second row: Shane Koch, Gentry Perkins, Caylie Wilson and Lauren Reeves. This marks the 25th year that Horizon Credit Union has given out scholarships. The winners were selected based on the following essay topic: “Describe What Membership in the Horizon Credit Union Means to Me”. Consideration was also given to their GPA, ACT scores and a required letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. Congratulations to all of our recipients.
