Macon Marching Festival Program

Good morning,

As you know, Macon High School will be hosting the first Macon City of Maples Marching Festival on Saturday, September 21st. We will begin our day with a 9:00 a.m. parade in downtown Macon, followed by an indoor drumline, indoor flag, and field competition held at the high school complex. At this time, we have a total of 13 bands (approximately 700 students) registered to attend, with a few more expected by our registration deadline. Honestly, I was hoping for more for our first year, but the date is about one week too early for some schools that don't compete very much---but we have to start somewhere, right?!?

We are putting together a grey-scale program for our patrons which will contain the schools who are coming to our festival, the music they are performing, and some highlights of their programs. The norm for music festival programs is to also seek out sponsors to help with our festival. This year, we are offering full-page ad spots for $400 (4.5"w x 7.5"h), half-page ads for $200 (4.5"w x 3.5"h), and quarter-page ads for $100 (2"w x 3.5"h). If a business would like to be part of our program, I ask for them to send me the ad/image they want in the program, in the appropriate size or an editable format, to jbaker@macon.k12.mo.us. I will invoice them for their records. We will need all ad information by Friday, August 23rd.

Thank you for your support of our first Macon City of Maples Marching Band Festival! I hope this continues to grow year after year.
