Robert Ivan Flaspohler Obituary
Robert “Flash” Flaspohler, 81, of Moberly, MO passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.
Robert was born on July 25, 1942 in Forrest Green, MO, the son of Robert and Erma Flaspohler. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic and was stationed in Paris, France and Germany. Robert was united in marriage to Linda Roberts on September 13, 1993 in Harrison, AR. He was a member of the St. Pius Catholic Church of Moberly. He enjoyed watching daily mass, tinkering with anything with a motor, visiting local service stations, and taking care of his wife.
Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Flaspohler of the home; two children, Sheila Loudenback and her husband Jeff of Inlet Beach, FL, and Travis Leeper and his wife Tara of Macon, MO; six grandchildren, Kayla Geers, Shalea Beauregard, Abby Loudenback, Caroline Loudenback, Kadence Leeper, and Kysen Leeper; three great-grandchildren; several cousins, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am, Friday, June 28, 2024 at the St. Pius Catholic Church in Moberly, MO. Burial, with full military honors, will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday morning, from 9:00 am, until the time of mass, at the church with a Rosary service at 8:45 am. The family suggests memorials to the St. Pius School. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
