Elsie Nadine Duncan Obituary
Elsie Nadine Duncan, 95, of New Cambria, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO.
Elsie was born on the farm in the Chariton River Bottom near Lagonda, MO on July 10, 1928, the daughter of William and Mellzena (May) Beale. She was united in marriage to Ertle Duane Duncan on January 29, 1949 in Macon. Elsie loved traveling to Colorado with her husband. She enjoyed, visiting on the phone, going out with her brother and eating fish and going on countryside drives, and spending time with her family.
Elsie is survived by her two sons, Ronald Duncan and his wife Joan of New Cambria, and Michael Duncan and his wife Sharon of New Cambria; five grandchildren, Lisa Steen, Jeff Duncan, Shanna Matheney and her husband Tony, Todd Duncan and his wife Jill, and Travis Duncan and his wife Lois; 15 great-grandchildren, Renee, Brittany, Corey, Abby, Garrett, MaKenna, Brooke, Cody, Brady, Benett, Bryce, Zane, Tyler, Eric, and Kaitlin; 11 great-great-grandchildren, Trinity, Bentley, Brenley, Weslynn, Bowden, Emberly, Brooks, Gunnison, Jovie, Camden, Reese, and two on the way; one brother, Donald Beale and his wife Shirley of Macon; and nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ertle Duncan on August 13, 2013; three brothers, Pete Beale, R.D. Beale, and William “Bill” Beale; and four sisters, Edith, Margaret, Mary Etta, and Wanda.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the United Church of New Cambria in New Cambria, MO, with Bro. Jake Levett officiating. Burial will be in New Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, at the church. The family suggests memorials to the New Cambria Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
