Rodney Orville Fraley Obituary
Rodney Orville Fraley, 79, of Macon, MO passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Samaritan Hospital in Macon.
Rodney was born on May 31, 1945 in Jerseyville, IL, the son of Orville and Mary (Bushnell) Fraley. He served in the U.S. Army and later was united in marriage to Shirley Louise Johnston on March 20, 1967 at the Clarence Baptist Church. Rodney enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with his family.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Shirley Fraley of the home; three children, Vincent Fraley and his wife Janis, Dewayne Fraley, Dinisha Borders and her husband Jason, all of Macon, MO; six grandchildren, Audra Shelmadine and her husband Brian of Bevier, MO, Chelsie Daugherty and her husband Erik of Bevier, MO, Allissa Wood and her husband Jordan of Macon, MO, Christopher Fraley of Macon, MO, Amanda Thomas and her husband Justin of New Cambria, MO, Mason Borders and his Fiancé Carly of Clarnece MO; thirteen great-grandchildren Adalyn wood, Emery Shelmadine, Paisley Daugherty, Makenzie and KaLynn Daughterty, Elliott Shelmadine, Stella wood, Kolton and Justin Daugherty, Verity Fraley, Elaina Thomas, Weston Wood, Ozzy Borders and one on the way Collins Thomas. He is also survived by three sisters, Vicky, Barb, and Patty; and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Aloma Johnston, and Connie Lowe.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, north of Macon. Visitation will be 1:00 pm, until the time of the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
