Paris, Missouri, Woman Arrested For Financial Exploitation, Stealing, And Forgery
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Jessica A. Chase, 45, of Paris, Missouri. Chase was arrested on June 10, 2024, for six counts of financial exploitation of an elder/disabled person, six counts of forgery, seven counts of filing false documents, 12 counts of felony stealing, two counts of fraudulent use of a credit/debit device, and one count of money laundering. Chase’s arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Troop B Criminal Investigations Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
On February 15, 2024, Monroe County Sheriff Joe Colston requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control investigate allegations of theft committed by a former Monroe County elected official, Jessica Chase. At the conclusion of an exhaustive investigation, on June 10, 2024, Chase was arrested by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol for an active Monroe County arrest warrant. This arrest followed formal charges being issued by the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney. Chase is currently being held in the Monroe County Jail, on a $150,000.00 cash only bond.
The above charges are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
