Delmer Wayne Gladhill Obituary
Delmer Wayne Gladhill, 83, of Macon, MO, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon.
Delmer was born on August 5, 1940, in Macon County, MO, the son of Chris Albert and Mathilde Bertha “Tilly” (Bork) Gladhill. He was united in marriage to Hazel Earleen Cross on October 18, 1958, in Atlanta, MO. Delmer enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, playing the guitar, gardening, yardsales and spending time with his family and friends.
Delmer is survived by two sons, Jeff Gladhill and his wife Lori of Anabel, MO, Kevin Gladhill and his wife Angiee of Macon; eight grandchildren, Thomas Gladhill and his wife Gabby of Jacksonville, IL, Justin Gladhill and his wife Amber of Excello, MO, Michael Teter and his wife Stephanie of Bevier, Latisha Slater and her husband Zack of New Cambria, MO, Josh Teter of Bevier, Timothy Gladhill and his wife Michelle of Bevier, Andrew Maxwell of Columbia, MO, and Jonathan Maxwell of Clarence, MO; twelve great grandchildren, Parker, Cooper, Carter, Isabella, Gage, Emmalyn, Paisleyh, Presleyh, Payton, Remington, Katherine and Michaela; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by one daughter; Vanessa Teter, his parents, his wife on February 11, 1995, three brothers, Howard, Lloyd and Alvin, and two sisters, Martha and Marie.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the Richardsdale Cemetery in Bevier. The family suggests memorials to the Randy Johnson Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.
