Robert Dale Fetter Obituary
Robert Dale Fetter (Bob) died February 6, 2024 at his home in Crawfordville, FL.
Bob and Joy Suggs were united in marriage September 30, 1985 in Van Buren, AR and she survives. Also surviving are daughter Janie Lee Fetter-Gent (James) of Holiday, FL; son R. Dale Fetter Jr (Samantha/Sam Hollis) of Gates, NY; sister Karen Davenport (Howard) of Harrisburg MO; nieces Nicole Fetter (Dave Woychek) of Minneapolis, MN and Stephanie Embry (Rick) of Newburgh, IN; and great nephew Joseph Embry. Bob was predeceased by his parents Harry and Billie Fetter; brother William Lewis Fetter (Bill); grandparents Wilbur and Minnie Manning; uncle and aunt, Russell and Norma Manning; paternal grandparents Harry and Estella Fetter.
Bob was born in Macon, MO, December 1,1960, the youngest child of Harry Lewis and Billie Jean Manning Fetter. Bob attended Elementary and High School in Macon graduating in 1979. While in high school he worked summers for Maloney Electric and remained life-long friends with the family. Following graduation Bob served in the US Navy until his honorable discharge in October 1992. He later earned an Associates Degree from Tallahassee Community College while working for AT&T as a cellular equipment technician. He retired in 2023.
Bob was active in VFW and loved to hunt and travel. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
A graveside memorial service, with full military honors, will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, MO, with Pastor John Gillman officiating. Memorials in Bob's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
