Damon Louis Pagliai

Damon Louis Pagliai, 85, of Bevier, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

Damon was born on December 20, 1936 in Macon County, MO the son of Salvatore “Rod” and Pearl (Britt) Pagliai. He was united in marriage to Beverly Elizabeth Chitwood on June 30, 1957 in Bevier, MO. Damon was president of the Macon Ambulance Board, secretary of the Bevier Fire Protection District, secretary of the United Mine Workers Local 7688, former president of the Bevier Homecoming and former Bevier school board member for several years. He was a very loved man who enjoyed spending time with family and caring for his pets.

Damon is survived by his wife, Beverly Pagliai, of the home; two daughters, Susan Ancona and her husband Jose of Olathe, KS, and Lisa Pagliai of Bevier, MO; one brother, Dale Pagliai and his wife Margaret of Bevier, MO; one sister, Patty Bowzer of Barnhardt, MO; one aunt, Wanda Leathers of Macon, MO; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and grand-pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Peggy.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, February 19, 2022 at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO, with Bro. Jim Bolin officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood New Addition in Bevier. Visitation will be 9:00 am, until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19, the family respectfully asks those attending to wear a mask. Family suggests memorials to the Macon Wellness Center or the Oakwood Cemetery.
