October 9 COVID-19 Update

The Macon County Health Department announces 6 new cases of COVID-19 in the county. Currently, the county has 23 active cases, meaning they are in isolation.

New cases include one male under 19, two females age 20-29, one female age 30-39, one female age 60-69 and one female age 90-99. Two were household contacts related to positives in schools and four were community spread.

At the time of this press release, the following reflects cases of COVID-19 in Macon County –

23 active cases (in isolation)

3 hospitalized (included in the active case count)

216 released from isolation

239 total positive cases

The state of Missouri currently reports 139,164 positive cases of COVID-19.
