October 5 COVID-19 Update
October 5, 2020
(Macon County, MO) – The Macon County Health Department announces 4 new cases of COVID-19. Currently, there are 12 active cases of COVID-19 in the county. An active case means the person is currently in isolation.
New cases include one female under age 19, one male age 20-29, one male age 30-39 and one female age 50-59. One is community spread, one is a household contact to a positive and two were infected out of the county.
At the time of this press release, the following reflects cases of COVID-19 in Macon County –
12 active cases (in isolation)
2 hospitalized (included in the active positive case count)
213 released from isolation
225 total positive cases
The state of Missouri currently reports 133,418 cases of COVID-19 in the state.
