Callao Christian Church providing free sack lunches during pandemic

CALLAO, MO -- The Callao Christian Church is providing free sack lunches to citizens during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. Citizens can pick up a sack lunch Monday through Friday from noon until 1 p.m. "We have a turkey baloney sandwich with cheese, potato chips, apple, and a bottle of water. The sandwich is individually wrapped. Bread is in a wrap, baloney, and cheese all separated. This is so people can make their own sandwich and have no fear of gluten/ lactose in the sandwich," stated Youth Minister Alex Lukefahr. Individuals may take up to one extra sack lunch for a friend or family member that may be in need. When asked about the church deciding to provide meals, Josh Stucki stated, "We have long enjoyed our friendly relationship with the Callao school. The school is closed as a result of the pandemic, so we have the opportunity to "stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30) and help provide a lunch in the meantime."

The Callao Christian Church is listed at: 119 W 2nd St, Callao, MO 63534
