Clayton “Bill” James DeShazer
April 13, 1930 – June 24, 2014

Clayton “Bill” James DeShazer, age 84, of Macon, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2014 in Macon, Missouri. He was born April 13, 1930, the son of Harvey and Francis (Ashston) Moore who preceded him in death, also preceding him was one sister Dorothy Olin; and one grandson. Surviving are three sons Jim, Don and D. L. DeShazer; one brother and several nieces and several nephews. Graveside services with Full Military Honors was Saturday, June 28, 2012 at the La Plata Cemetery. Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, Missouri 63549.

Willard Gene Moncrief
September 1, 1925-June 24, 2014

Willard Gene Moncrief, 88, of LaPlata, Missouri, passed away Tuesday (June 24, 2014). The son of Herbert and Blanche (Shouse) Moncrief, he was born September 1, 1925 in LaPlata, Missouri. He married Jewell Imogene Hood on December 10, 1946 who survives. He is also survived by one brother, Bobby Joe Moncrief, one sister, Ida May Parsons, two grandchildren, as well as nephews, nieces and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents, his step-mother, Grace, step-sister, Evelyn Maize, half-sister, Ruth Ann Knox and brother-in-law, Dale Knox. Public visitation was at Travis Funeral Chapel in LaPlata. Graveside services with military honors were Friday (June 27, 2014) at the LaPlata Cemetery.

Nicole Ann (Spicer) Wilson
January 31, 1981- June 23, 2014

Nicole Ann (Spicer) Wilson of Shelbina, MO, passed away on Monday June 23, 2014, at her home in Shelbina. Nicole was born on January 31, 1981, in Macon, MO, the daughter of Robert Dale and Evelyn Marie (Currier) Spicer. On June 22, 2014, she was united in marriage to Neal Wilson. She is survived by her husband Neal Wilson; three children, Hunter and Autumn Perkins and Garrett Wilson; her father, Robert Spicer and step-mother Angela Brandow; her mother, Evelyn Spicer and step-father Curtis Teal; her maternal grandmother, Martha Sheese; her paternal grandmother, Evelyn R. Spicer; four brothers, Robert Spicer, Jr., Andrews Brandow; Joseph Brandow and Curtis Wayne Teal, Jr; four sisters, Steacy Simons, Kimberly Thrasher, Angela Fields and Jennifer Gibson and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. She was preceded in death by two grandfathers. Funeral services were June 26, 2014, at the Hutton-McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, MO.

Charles “Chuck” E. Newton
July 6, 1929 – June 24, 2014

Charles “Chuck” E. Newton, 84, of Bevier, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in Macon. Chuck was born on July 6, 1929, in St. Louis, MO, the son of James T. and Hazel (Bostic) Newton. Chuck is survived by his wife, Del, one daughter, Theresa Dennis (Norman; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Rhoades, and Jeanne (Eugene) Bellm and several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bevier. Burial was in the St. Charles Cemetery in Bevier. A Prayer Service and Rosary was at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Bevier.
